The Bash Bar is an underground basement venue with a capacity of 80 persons. With its dim lighting, framed Blue Note art and plush leather furniture you could be mistaken in thinking you just stepped into a mid sixties New York club.

Weekly jazz nights ran at the venue for roughly a year organised by Aaron Diaz, gigs now are one-off events. The setting makes for an intimate vibe and encourages an enthusiastic, listening audience. A low ceiling balances the music above any level of chatter in the crowd. Drinks prices are on the high side but its bar boasts on of the largest selections of spirits and single-malts in the city centre.

Bash Bar is located in the heart of the city centre on Pinfold St (running parrallel with Hill St) opposite Victoria Sq post office.

On-street parking is unavailable but the New Street Station and Brunel Street car parks are nearby.
