The Glee Club is Birmingham’s premier comedy club, hosting the best in stand-up three nights a week as well as being a popular spot on the singer/songwriter circuit. The venue is used by Birmingham Jazz, to host many national and international touring acts. The Bad Plus, The Yellowjackets and Bill Bruford’s Earthworks are a few acts to have appeared at the Glee Club.
Its main room hold 400 seated with small risen stage, and has an authentic US club atmosphere. Seating is all on one level with chairs and tables arranged in crescent immediately in front of the stage, creating an unrivalled intimacy and a chance to see performers close up. Food and drink is available before the acts begin and in intervals from the bar.
Located in the Arcadian bar and restaurant complex prices can be quite expensive, but the venue maintains the fashionable aesthetic of the bars that surround it.
