The Birmingham University Guild of Students bar is home to the many events run by JaBsoc, the university's Jazz and Blues society. Jam sessions are run fortnightly and absolutely anyone with an axe to grind is welcome, in the musical sense. Gigs by uni based bands are also hosted in the staged area within the bar, as well as the larger gigs run in the Debating Hall in the loft of the building.

Collaborations between JaBsoc and Conservatoire students has seen John Randall's Electric Quintet, Aaron Diaz's Zappajazz and Andy Bunting all featured on the Guilds bill or at TC's pub.

As expected drinks are dirt cheap and the bar is large and accommodating, with plenty of sofa and table seating. Located on-campus the Guild is straight off the Bristol Rd, easily accessible by bus or taxi.
