The Jam House has been running as a live music venue since 1999, opened by its then owner TV host and pianist, Jools Holland.
The spacious and stylish venue occupies a historic Georgian building opposite St Pauls Cathedral in Birmingham's pretty Jewellery Quarter. Across its three floors is a dining space seating 80 people, a lower bar area and a larger stage area, holding 600 people in total.
The venue holds live music most nights of the week from various soul and funk bands, and is used on a monthly basis by Birmingham Jazz for club based acts.
The Jam House is an over 21's venue, and operates a smart casual dress code, no sportswear, and no trainers, so a visit may be more geared towards a night out. As the building also operates as a pricey bar, restaurant and live venue, not everyone there is an audience member and some crowds can become too loud for quieter acoustic bands.
