The Library Theatre is one of Birmingham’s lesser-known venues. Housed in the Central Library complex its entrance is beside the Adrian Boult Hall box office. It is also linked to the Conservatoire building and is used in conjunction with the facilities for conferences and festivals.

Cobweb’s Ben Bryden ran several Tuesday night gigs in association with Tasty Flavas, featuring the bands of John Randall, Alex Merritt and Andy Bunting.

It has a large raised stage, focused lighting and tiered seating holding 260 people. The space is mostly used for conferences and presentations to which it is more suited to than performances, but apart from the main M.A.C auditorium, it is one of the few intimate, tear seating venues close to the city centre.

The Library theatre is adjacent to the Adrian Boult Hall's Box Office, it's entrance clearly signed. From Victoria Sq, walk through Chamberlin Sq, up the steps towards the Conservatoire where the main sign is visible.
