Lydia is studying in her third year of Birmingham Conservatoire's jazz course. She is equally at home behind the Drum Set and various percussion instruments. Lydia currently plays in many Birmingham based bands and runs her own quartet which features Ben Goodhall on Woodwind, Matthew Ratcliffe on Piano and Chris Jones on Double Bass.

Lydia's playing highlights so far include guesting in Tom Chapman's 'Found Objects' at the Jam House in 2007, running and performing around Birmingham with the Glanville/Goodhall Sextet and most importantly performing with Jean Toussaint and Percy Pursglove as a finalist of the Tony Levin Drum Prize in 2008.

As well as playing jazz Lydia also loves folk music playing with the epic Conservatoire Folk Enselmble, young progressive folk group N.O.M.A.D. and more recently the Kate Doubleday Band.

Lydia is a member to the team running the Cobweb Collective gigs and is in the process of setting up a new venue in collaboration with Birmingham Jazz's Tony Dudley-Evans. Watch this space.......
