The Hare & Hounds is one of Birmingham's many Victorian pubs that dot the outer suburbs of the city. Rejuvenated in May 2006 as as a modern live venue with two staged rooms with a capacity of 350 and one enormous sound system, it is home to up and coming artists, comedian and DJs. Furnished with retro furniture, moody decor and chic locals, the spacious downstairs rooms are perfect for a night out, gig or not.
In their 2007 winter season Birmingham Jazz began using the popular venue, running acts similar to their Rainbow program.
Located on the corner of the High Street and York Rd, The Hare & Hounds is one of the cultural centres of Kings Heath with a large young and diverse audience.
